Hey I would really appreciate if people could share and post this around and vote No we need to make sure AI translations stop being passed around in the SRW community www.reddit.com/r/Super_Robo...

Another update with mostly new listings. I finally got some Judy and Mary CDs up on the site. Don't know why it took me so long.. Also albums by Aimer and Beat Crusaders. Also a great Capcom MahJong game, Boxed Wario's Woods, Boxed Tetris Gaiden, Parappa, and more! Site: japanretrodirect.ocnk.com

Today for (as far as I can tell) the first time ever, my shop has over 2000 items in stock. There are good and less good reasons I have so many games hanging out on my shelves right now, but I’m going to see this as a victory as it’s been a goal for years. 👍🏻

🚨 A New Reality for Physical Games🚨 There’s a lot changing behind the scenes in the video game industry right now — things customers don’t always see.

The Kimura Kaela CD is new to the site. Everything else is restocks today, but some very good ones. Snowboard Kids, Time Crisis, Galactic Pinball, and the best dance game no one played: Bust a Move (not to be confused with Puzzle Bobble). Site: japanretrodirect.ocnk.com

More games and music today. Some of these have been out of stock for quite a while. It's getting harder and harder to find even common games at reasonable prices these days. But I am going to keep doing my best. Site: japanretrodirect.ocnk.com

Shipped out the Yamato order today (yeah only 1 this week) As for the site, some nice restocks. If I had to recommend one it would be Rez. I originally played this one on the Dreamcast but that version is very pricey these days so PS2 is the affordable way to go. Site: japanretrodirect.ocnk.com

It was stormy today so I didn't go game shopping as planned. But I listed some new games and restocks. Thank you to everyone who continues to support my shop even in these hard times. I really appreciate it. Site: japanretrodirect.ocnk.com

Going out of town tomorrow and might have a chance to do some game/CD shopping in a bigger city. No idea what they will have but anything I should look for?

Sorry for no new listings for a few days. Since almost every listing today is a game new to the store, it takes me a bit more time. Some great PS1 listings including BASTARD!! and a Kamen Rider game I never had before. Also my favorite Final Fantasy game. And more! Site: japanretrodirect.ocnk.com

The first Not Really Ghostbusters short of the season goes up Tomorrow at 12pm PST on youtube!

Text or no text? Maybe the first Steam Controller sells itself

Touch grass or touchpads? The 2015 Steam Controller was maybe the most lovingly crafted hardware failure in video game history. But was it really a failure? Its insane history says otherwise. New episode of Punching Weight! Watch with your pets! RT's appreciated! 💀 youtu.be/xkMuoA88n4M 💀

NEW EPISODE! Let's check out Capcom's CPS-1 arcade hardware and all of the games they made for it... oh and maybe the CPS "1.5" as well! www.youtube.com/watch?v=9o2a...

I'm actually really proud of today's update! Only 4 of these CDs are restocks, the other 8 are new to the site. It's the most new music CD listings I've ever put up in a single day. New listings for: The Pillows, trf, Orange Range, Perfume, Orange Pekoe and Amuro Namie! japanretrodirect.ocnk.com

And back to Music CDs today. Mostly restocks. The debut album by the brilliant green and Emotional Engine by PSY S are both must haves. Good Ayumi and Cocco stuff too. I also restocked Two-Mix (including one never on the site before) and globe (also one new album). Site: japanretrodirect.ocnk.com

I updated my description of the Japanese Music section to better reflect what it has become. It started it as a little side project, I had no idea people would be so supportive! Thank you!

It was all music yesterday, so it's all games today. 3 PC Engine Bomberman games join the great Saturn Bomberman. The 2 Marvel vs Capcom games are both in stock again. Galaga 88 is one of my favorite Arcade games and this is a great PC Engine port. And more! Site: japanretrodirect.ocnk.com

Japan Post orders went out today. Enjoy the games and tunes! Speaking of tunes, it's all music today. Restocks of Koda Kumi, Two-Mix, Cocco, Yoko Kanno and more. Also I finally put a Halcali CD up. I LOVE this group. I just wish their CDs weren't so pricy. Site: japanretrodirect.ocnk.com

Today, I decided to dump all my thoughts about A.I. infecting the retro and Saturn scene into one cohesive article. In short, I am certifiably sick of this.

SEGA SATURN, SHIRO!@segasaturnshiro.bsky.social · 2w ago

Is there any harm in using AI to work on — or entirely create — projects for the Sega Saturn and elsewhere in the retro gaming scene? Yes, PandaMonium says in this opinion column, equating such work to digital asbestos: www.segasaturnshiro.com/2026/09/24/c... #sega #saturn #segasaturn #retrogaming

I shipped the Yamato orders out today (check for your tracking numbers). Japan Post will go out tomorrow. As for today's restocks, 3 Point Blank PS1 games, the 2 DS GameCenter CX games and a bunch of nice loose Gameboy and N64 carts. Site: japanretrodirect.ocnk.com
