I need recommendations! Recommendations of books with sea battles! Historical fantasy, ideally. Does anyone out there have any ideas?
Special news, announced here first: Daikaijuzine is going on hiatus until next June. Any submissions currently in our queue are released back to the author, but you can resubmit them (if they’re still available) when we re-open in late December.

For some reason, my Facebook reels are now full of big guys dressed as vikings wielding weapons while shouting positive affirmations at you. I should be one of those guys, though I'm not as big as they are. They're often heavily tattooed as well. I am not. Plus, I don't have many weapons to wield.
Here's the cover for the Bullet Points issue that my story "An End Worthy of the Bards" will come out in.
Updated cover, adding @jamesaaron.net, for his review of A Fiction Writer’s Guide to Peace, by Gabriel Ertsgaard, and correcting @underpope.com's name.
Contract signed, so I can announce that my short story "An End Worthy of the Bards" is coming out in the next issue of BULLET POITS Magazine. Don't know the exact publishing date yet.
Men! Can you name a woman who was a role model for you who wasn't your mother or grandmother? For me it's Mae Jemison, Jane Goodall, and now Christine Koch. What about you?

Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology
She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.
