UCU have called a day of action in every University on Friday 20th November. We will be working with sister unions to ensure the biggest possible support for protests, rallies and events. This is part of our fight to protect jobs and courses as well as build solidarity across the union.

Universities are tearing apart the humanities, arts and social sciences. Courses are closing, jobs are disappearing, and students and staff are paying the price. At Exeter, 85% of proposed job cuts targeted these disciplines. We need university leaders who will defend education mot destroy it.

Who pays? It can't be workers and the working class. There's nothing left to give. Going after pensioners is not the way to do it. We need to look at billionaires and excessive wealth in our country.
