What in the world are the priorities of @itfglobalunion.bsky.social management? On Wednesday, one of the abruptly terminated reps requested and received permission to attend the office. Upon arrival he was informed he would need to be chaperoned and "collected" from area to area.

Staff at the @itfglobalunion.bsky.social are now balloting again for industrial action. There are three reasons: 1) Representation 2) Accountability 3) Fairness These aren't separate issues. Our union reps have been fighting for accountability and to ensure staff are treated fairly.

ITF staff are calling for management to immediately reinstate two union reps who were suddenly terminated without justification. Both reps were told that their grievances would be heard before any further steps would be taken, in line with internal policy and past practice.

The @itfglobalunion.bsky.social management broke its own rules to abruptly sack union reps.

Management of @itfglobalunion.bsky.social wrote that the abrupt dismissal of two union reps was for their own "benefit and wellbeing". This decision presided over by the most senior leadership of the organisation will hasten the mandatory repatriation of a migrant family.

Tradewinds reports on the abrupt sacking of union reps by @itfglobalunion.bsky.social management: “This dispute will continue to escalate until ITF’s leadership stops union-busting and takes concrete action to rectify the pressing and legitimate issues facing its workers.”
