Following the planned launch of the consultation on the Committee for Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC) draft opinion on the proposed restriction of certain chromium(VI) substances, this webinar explains what the consultation covers and how stakeholders can contribute. It outlines the substances and uses in scope and presents the type of information SEAC is seeking. It also explains how to provide evidence on costs, benefits, alternatives and transition needs to support the finalisation of the opinion. Trump Officials Still Delaying Funds

For the second year in a row, Trump administration officials are delaying the distribution of hundreds of millions of dollars in health-related grant funding as political appointees seek to ensure the funding adheres to the administration’s priorities — despite promises to Congress that the money would be spent as directed. COP31-IEA High-Level Energy Transition Dialogue

The event, which takes place during London Climate Action Week, will be co-chaired by IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol and COP31 President-Designate Murat Kurum in collaboration with the Australian government. Following the successful inaugural dialogue, it will focus on how countries can accelerate the implementation of their energy goals in the context of the Middle East crisis, energy market volatility, supply chain pressures, rising energy demand and heightened energy security concerns. Discussions will also focus on key levers to boost energy security, affordability and sustainability, including electrification, waste reduction, and advancing clean cooking and energy access.
