Our next IGPBS DAWGS nominee is IPMM student, Delia Omar! Delia's research focuses on how Endosomal Sorting Complex Required for Transports (ESCRT) proteins regulate hepatic lipid droplet biogenesis and degradation to identify novel therapeutic targets for liver steatosis. Way to go, Delia! 👏 🎉

Our next IGPBS DAWGS nominee is IPID student, Maddie Love! Maddie's research focuses on understanding how the molecular components of human papillomavirus (HPV) exploit pathways to cause infections, and led to her publication in the research journal "PNAS". Congratulations, Maddie! 🥳 👏

We're highlighting our next IGPBS DAWGS nominee, this time from the Cancer Research program's own Kristine Hoagstrom! She was published in the journal "Cancer Letters" for her research on the communication of certain elements in pancreatic cancer cells that can contribute to cancer metastasis.

Our next nominee is BISB student, Mengtao Sun! He is featured for his work on machine learning, and applying artificial intelligence to biological data to uncover diseases. His first author publication was featured in the journal "Molecular Oncology" published in April of this year! 🎉 🎉

The fall semester is around the corner but we can't look ahead to the new term without first celebrating our summer IGPBS DAWGS nominees! Our first nominee is BMB student Ajay Murakonda whose research on proteins in regulating endosomal fission led to his publication in the Journal of Cell Science.
