Today marks 80 years since the signing of the #UNCharter. In our increasingly fractured world, we must renew the vision of the Charter and encourage global leaders to recommit to and strengthen international cooperation for the sake of "We the peoples."

It is reported that the parliament of Iran has approved the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. The final decision will allegedly be made by security authorities. About 1/3 of the global oil supply goes through the Strait.

At meeting on EU, Russian PR complained that as no one had asked EU rep questions, she shouldn't have been given floor at meeting's end, that SC briefings not supposed to be interactive dialogues. But in 2022 RF argued for briefer to speak at meeting's end who hadn't been asked questions.
