Given is still chewing my brain even tho I feel like it was just "ok." I just really like the dead boyfriend haunting narrative HAHA the songs the one you love sings is about their late ex.. and then you have to work on an unfinished song by that ex, which was a love song to him. wow.. tasty

I dug up my old login to buy the Given doujinshi off DLsite and I completely forgot I bought some wild stuff there years ago. I'm not sure how much Japanese I knew back then but I skimmed through the stuff and I can say in the present I have mastered the BL doujinshi vocabulary 🙂↕️
I'm reading the Given manga cause I saw Kizu Natsuki drew a ten years later scenario sequel and figured there's diffs in the manga and anime but I'm several vols in and huh?? pretty much everything made its way into the anime?? it's a super faithful adaptation?? do I even need to read this??

Given actually making me itch to see a concert. I kinda wanted to go see Rise Against but I don't really want to travel...
binge rewatched Given anime and it's still a pretty solid series. you can def enjoy it largely as a music anime. I think the one thing I didn't like, and that's not restricted to this series or BL, is all the side charas all have some romance plot going as well like everyone has to be paired up 😅

The part where Iida randomly crashes at Yoshida's place one night is so good. Yoshida oversees Iida getting birthdays texts and realizes that maybe he came to spend his birthday with him. Iida defensively responds in turn that isn't he just watching TV to be by his side. The tension is saur tasty..
Yoshida little fangs good design and Roji didn't miss with making him a biter. but what was extra huge mind of them was making him be bit back woohoooo yeahhh *loud clapping*

The characters here are cunning and constantly trying to knock down each others guard, it's a lot of fun and different mood from the main series. Enjoyed it a lot!

I'm loving how different the ship dynamic is in 何それ愛かよ from the main series. the two here are cunning and push at each others buttons, but they don't hate each other so it's more like a rivalry to see who can crack first. Tasty 🤤

There's a lot more of Midori's friends in the sequel. That's one thing I like about the series, notably in the first volume when they weren't together yet and living separate lives, they had their own friends which made them feel more alive. I'm gonna read the spin off next cause Yoshida is a qt
I like these two pages, after they leave Midori's parent's house. The hand reaching for the other and the strong grip back. Midori is seen as the more reliable and mature one but he leans on Ao more than people think.

The theme of the sequel is "I want people to know" - even if there's no acceptance they don't want to hide the truth. Lots of heart warming moments. Good sequel.
ろじ knows how to cook with their chara designs. simple but handsome
