On the sidelines of #HLPF2026 in New York, United Nations University and ECLAC organized the "From Global Water Bankruptcy to Implementation" side event to explore how regional cooperation can strengthen water security, accelerate progress on #SDG6, and ensure no one is left behind.

On the sidelines of #HLPF2026 in New York, United Nations University and ECLAC organized the "From Global Water Bankruptcy to Implementation" side event to explore how regional cooperation can strengthen water security, accelerate progress on #SDG6, and ensure no one is left behind.

Should there be a charge for pollution?   That question was posed by UNU-INWEH Director Prof. Kaveh Madani, who joined experts to examine ethical AI, the water-energy-food nexus and global citizenship as pathways to accelerate the #SDGs.
