Residents often speak of the way Sensei Kaz moves through the campus, the quiet attention he brings to an ordinary walk to morning zazen, the way he seems to breathe in each moment as he passes.

Kitchen Bodhisattvas preparing delicious, nourishing meals during July Zen Circle & this weekend's Calligraphy program. Many hands & hearts make Upaya possible, including those in our local sangha who volunteer in the kitchen, also preparing meals for the unsheltered community. Deep gratitude!

This past weekend, Sensei Dainin welcomed many friends and neighbors from Santa Fe to Upaya for our Introduction to Zen Meditation orientation. New faces and familiar ones sat together, learning the basics of posture and zazen, asking questions, and taking a walk through our campus. Great joy!
