I have become very cognizant that as I get older, my neutral “resting bitch face” has become “f$ck off and die face” so I have become adept at sneaking the corners of my mouth up a bit for important identity photos without actually cracking a smile. Follow me for other aging tips.👵🏻

Edmontonian, wifey, grandma, former Winnipegger, ebike owner, winter acoustic fat-tire bike rider & known cookie pusher. Retired & living the dream. I’m nice, not sweet. In a world where you can be anything, be kind. ESTJ🇨🇦
While reading my Edmonton Journal epaper, the screen blipped & when I went back to my library, 15 different papers (including Sun ones too) were there from multiple provinces. IT woes at head office or have they opened the gates?

Served 5 some blackberries… 5: thanks for the mystery berries. Me: why do you call them that? 5: you never know until you bite it if it’s going to be sweet, sour or just awful. He’s not wrong.
Although I’m happy to hear that WestJet reached an agreement in the wee hours this morning, I suspect the people who had their travel plans interrupted won’t ever fly with them again. I’m still angry over an incident in 2022 when we were denied compensation after a WestJet rescheduled flight.
12c & rain, strong wind in a bit & finishing up with more rain. Today’s forecast? A big wind sandwich on rain bread. #yegwx

I’ve had a driver’s license for almost 50 years. Back in the day, we actually stopped at stop signs and didn’t turn right on a red until you came to a complete stop. Cracking U-ees in the middle of a street was forbidden & if you sped, you’d get fined. These days, it’s a free-for-all with impunity.
The dramatic entrance through snow-covered rock walls into Radium, BC Canada, an iPhone photo. #Big #BlueskyArtShow
Lovely bike ride to Big Lake in St Albert with a pitstop on the way to view the lightning strike on 129Av. Cool! Thanks Peace Ave Bike Club for the excellent ride. #yegbike
Because it’s impossible to find a 64th birthday card. And also because I like my paints. And my felt pens. And I have time.👵🏻
Every neighborhood needs a Mr Uptown. Glad I brought home that broken golf club last year.
Oh look, it’s raining in Edmonton again, how wonderful. #ThingsNoOneSays
Wellington Bridge (re) construction Sunday afternoon from 102Av looking east & west.

It’s what friends and allies do. And above all, they don’t kick you when you’re down.
As I was taking a picture of this snapped limb after Mother Nature unleashed her fury upon us last night, resident critter having strong words with me as if I did the deed. Sheesh.
As some businesses close in #yegdt we were thrilled to visit the newly opened Solar Brunch on Jasper Ave & 104St. Excellent space, service & food! Looking forward to eating our way through their menu. Welcome to the ‘hood.
