Chait says the left treats antitrust "more like a religion than an economic theory." But abundance, meanwhile, is just "a wonky plan to build more housing and infrastructure." Meanwhile Reid Hoffman types and certain Senate Dems treat the book Abundance like literal gospel.

Having had the opportunity to interview these residents who are going without running water in the year 2026 because of the neglect of some crypto bros was / is a thoroughly radicalizing experience.

One tenant had to bathe her disabled husband with water boiled on the stove during a subzero winter after losing heating.

Some of my earliest memories are bringing in the Post each morning and combing thru all the box scores in the sports section before school. Bezos tanked the Post by not endorsing in '24 and is now using those losses to justify decimating one of the few remaining national-facing newspapers. Terrible

This story is honestly insane. Faraway investors buying up Detroit homes and turning them into crypto tokens; letting housing fall into disrepair, and evicting residents. This is what happens in an extraction economy.
