Love my birdwatching, fishing and following the Villa Live in Staffordshire, not far from Shenstone
Lesser Swallow Prominent (I think) from my Staffs garden last night. Only started with the trap last autumn so another ‘new for me’ moth #teammoth
Hundreds of Sand Martin through Blithfield this morning followed by a few Swallow. Pair of Greater Scaup, Kittiwake showed well by causeway. Ruddy shelduck in fields with 2 Egyptian Geese. Nice to hear a singing Blackcap. @staffsbirdnews.bsky.social
Grey Partridge in Stonnall Staffordshire this morning. Poor photo as it’s digiscoped at distance #ukbirds
One of a decent sized flock of Long Tailed Tits that visited my Staffordshire garden this morning. #birds
Very few from last night. Struggling to identify this one, Marbled Minor maybe but is it the wrong time of year? Apologies for poor photo. Still early days for me! #teammoth
This popped up last night in my Staffordshire garden. Not sure what it is? Not the best photo. #teammoth
First week using the trap so many firsts for me. Orange Sallow, Green Silver-Lines and Light Emerald (I think) #teammoth
First go at using a trap last night. So my ID challenges start now. Any idea what this one is? #teammoth
One of the local Peregrine chicks getting very close to fledging at a West Midlands location. #ukbirding
A bit of a wet and wild day here in Bude. Plenty of Manx shearwaters battling the weather out there.
So I thought I’d see if there are any Grasshopper Warblers at Wimblebury Mound near Hednesford. This is what I found, large area of bramble and scrub completely cleared. Such a shame. #ukbirding @staffsbirdnews.bsky.social
Highly cropped picture of a couple of distant Grey Partridge from Stonnall Staffordshire today #birdinguk #birds
