There’s 90% resources going into handling the aftermath of crime and 10% in the prevention It should be the other way around If 80% of crime is survival crime imagine what would happen if we addressed poverty We need UBI now

Let’s make basic income and a common wealth fund the next political change. Tell your politicians this is the highest priority for them to achieve
There’s no way anyone can survive in the United States without money. Without a support system. It’s too difficult. It asks too much. Social services help about 1/3rd to a 3/4ths if you meet all their biased conditions This place is insane asylum We need a UBI now
I hope one day the news and government and social media will be held responsible for all the mental health damage they cause #foxnews #racism #sexism #bias #victimblaming #scapegoating

It’s said if you are trying to build a home you need a rock solid strong foundation What we have now is temperamental, weak and fragile with many things out of people’s control (prices of basic necessities) A UBI and M4A is a strong secure foundation to build a life on that we all need

The entire two factor authentication system is broken If your phone is stolen you’re locked out of everything
It’s not outsourcing or automation or AI or downsizing it’s laziness It’s not low pay, low hours, bad bosses or corrupt management it’s laziness It’s never the employees fault always the employee That’s what they believe It’s easier for them to be victim blamers than say “that’s not fair”
The tendency to reduce people not working down to laziness is mental laziness itself It’s not insufficient pay, a bad boss, stressful conditions, sexual harassment, exploitation, dangerous conditions or overwork - it’s laziness Of course if you’re born rich it’s not laziness to not work

Replace "data centers" with "universal basic income" and suddenly it's an honest statement and great point.
Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."
I’d do: - UBI - Common Wealth Fund - Open Commons - Medicare for all - half off at the strip club on fridays
What are your top five changes you’d make to fix the world or the US?

There’s a group of people who insult the woke crowd It’s not that difficult It’s people that are aware of the injustices in the world. The anti woke crowd are also aware of some of the injustices too But they error bc they confuse woke with all the corporate wedge propaganda #foxnews

Has anyone considered the idea of Financial Fragility? Has anyone considered adding that to the dictionary?
What is Medical Fragility
Great example of the absurdity of conditions on welfare and why unconditional basic income is needed instead. It is absurd to force anyone with low income to travel somewhere as a hoop to jump through for survival income, especially when travel costs money and time, and the hoop is broken.
I've had several reports today of several ppl on JobSeeker Allowance who have to attend Job Networks or lose their Centrelink benefits. In one confirmed instance, 55yo man, who has difficulty with mobility, paid $36 for a taxi to his mandatory appointment, but when he got there ... 1/

“A person born without individual access to property is as unfree as if she were born in debt without means of default... Today, people are not subject to any one master. The aristocracy is somewhat fluid....working people accumulate property throughout their lives.” 1/2
There’s a remarkable difference between the lives and peace of those in the past who could go build their on home for free in nature and those today who have to find $300k for a home and while the wealthy gatekeep the commons The difference between that peace and tranquility and now is palpable
