I try to be more forgiving as I get older, so maybe they mean to put the "underlying health issues" right at the front of the story just to avoid total public panic, but all it really does is make it sound like their deaths don't really count.

If you want to know just how much of a crapshoot top prospects are, just consider that for all the massive hauls they've given up over recent years to get guys like Scherzer, Turner, Betts, Machado, etc, the most the Dodgers have gotten burned on a trade *by far* is when they acquired Josh Fields

Skubal trade is probably the best Angels news in a long time because the asking price for Detmers and Soriano just climbed like 50%. If they're not idiots, they may be about to begin a sharp turnaround.
The greatest hope for containing the Dodgers was nominating Tom Steyer to do some massive millionaire tax hike and the right-leaning player base to all overnight turn into Randy Johnson type cranks who don't want to pay state income tax or whatever.
It will be very funny when the republican party collapses, not because of their abhorrent ideology or embrace of Trump in general, but specifically because the only people left to inherit the party machinery are the current coffee fetchers who are all asocial incels who no one will share a room with

Also, the private sector has had decades to serve the communities where these stores are going in. If they wanted to be there, they would be there. They made a "free market" decision not to, and so now the void is being filled because people still need to eat.
