Amateur Titanic Historian, Baseball Nerd, and Simpsons quoter. I make money by giving you stuff you don't want every day. The United States Postal Service does not sanction or endorse anything I have to say about anything ever.

"...and there was a train, a really big train. Not like one of those ones on the streets, that the commuters take. One of those very big ones. And it was coming right at the screen, moving very fast, and it got closer and closer, and I thought "Donald, you better duck out of the way," and so I did.

Trump forgets the word for video: "We have photographs, or tapes... Like, moving cameras, right?"

If you want to know just how much of a crapshoot top prospects are, just consider that for all the massive hauls they've given up over recent years to get guys like Scherzer, Turner, Betts, Machado, etc, the most the Dodgers have gotten burned on a trade *by far* is when they acquired Josh Fields

Prospects in general are overrated. It isn’t the rest of the leagues fault the Dodgers are willing to trade them.

It will be very funny when the republican party collapses, not because of their abhorrent ideology or embrace of Trump in general, but specifically because the only people left to inherit the party machinery are the current coffee fetchers who are all asocial incels who no one will share a room with

Not only did they absolutely beg for this, they made it so that “merit” was synonymous with being white so now you’re stuck with precisely the kind of moron who believes that. www.politico.com/news/magazin...

Everyone knows what the problem is: The organizations that bring young staffers to Washington, D.C. have spent the last decade prioritizing blind ideological loyalty instead of competence or intelligence,” said a senior GOP congressional staffer, granted anonymity to discuss sensitive personnel issues. “We have a generation of rabid, incompetent idiots.”

"Questioning our institutions" is context dependent and has neutral value in a vacuum. Are you questioning a government's right to unrestrained surveillance and policing, or are you just yelling at the government doctor on the TV because he advised you not to fuck your chicken?

Ana Kasparian: "The one thing that I think the conservative Americans were correct about, especially as it pertained to the pandemic, was questioning authority and questioning our institutions."

Ya know, Johnny Depp is hot garbage. But at least with him, you see the cynical media exec position of "he helmed one of the biggest box office franchises of all time." What is Leto skating by on? Doing movies so bad they become memes while every person to ever work with him says he sucks shit?

I'm no Fauci fan, but I'll be honest that I have not for the life of me been able to figure out what exactly it is that he did to right wingers that has him hauled before congress. So am I to now understand that his apparent chief offense was "hurt a fox news personality's feelings?"

Also, the private sector has had decades to serve the communities where these stores are going in. If they wanted to be there, they would be there. They made a "free market" decision not to, and so now the void is being filled because people still need to eat.

Weird how much discourse around the Mamdani grocery stores ignores the existence of the Green Cart intiative (launched under Bloomberg) that provides subsidized fruit and vegetable stands across the city under the exact same logic as the grocery stores
