health care in the US is a just a full on scam. Going to the dentist is basically an economic rent extraction optimization by PE backed dentist that want to find every and every way to charge you for everything. Its the most unpleasant experience.

After undoing a bloated code base due claude mass edits, my current relationship with AI for coding is as follows 1) mentor / advisor -- passive advice, code checks 2) specialist -- where I have clear boundaries, work tasks, unit tests to validate a specific 3) trouble shooter 4) create templates

no matter how much time you take off, its never enough. These 5 days flew by. My (re-occurring lesson) is that you need to build a life / work life balance so that you don't have all this pent up need for a vacation. Easier said then done but truly understanding how critical that is now.

sauna + cold plunge + reading a book is such a nice combination of experiences. Need to figure out how to incorporate this in my daily life and not just on vacations

Haters back off, the Steam Machine is the best tech purchase I’ve made in ages. I’ve been trying to make a living room PC work for years; this is the first time that a PC has felt like another console under the TV. And the performance is more than good enough for everyone except the spec fanatics.
