Stranger in a strange land. Anime expatriate, shameless cat dad, RPG and miniatures enthusiast. I’m just looking to riff with the cool kids. Dismantle capitalism. 🐝🧙🏽‍♂️ He/Him.

-5PM @ work -Car alarm goes off -“Oops, did I set mine off again?” -Pulls keys out of pocket, presses car alarm -Different car alarms goes off -Frantically pushes button again -My car alarm stops -Other alarm stops 5 mins later -I wait 15 mins so nobody sees I’m the other jackass who set off alarm.

One of my players took up HEMA after our first D&D campaign. I had been using Dexterity for most light/off-hand weapons point. His takeaway from sword fighting: “every blade is Dex-based except greatswords.” I didn’t adjust my list too much in response but it was good validation for my homebrew.

as someone that spent a few years hitting people with actual swords whilst also being hit by other people with actual swords (and tbh probably a lot more of the latter), my contribution to the latest TTRPG discourse about combat is that everyone should give hitting people with actual swords a go

Born & raised in Iowa, lived here all my life. I hate corn. Hate the smell, hate the texture, it’s the wrong kind of sweet in a vegetable. I don’t even like corn syrup in soft drinks. If it’s not popped or in a bread I don’t want to be within arms reach of corn.

Here I invite you to be a micro-heretic. To bring small shame on your people. Tell me about a highly praised thing in your hometown/area that all locals LOVE except YOU. I’m from the Seattle area. Taco Time is nothing special. Bland. Not horrible but not worth going out of your way. Now you go!

What I find funny about the sudden Starfox Switch 2 announcement is that it’s exactly the kind of remake that’s been speculated for Zelda: Ocarina of Time for like the last six months, so either Nintendo has a bunch of these remakes in the pipeline or something is broken in the rumor mill.
