"What do you mean you can combo off that" --- Game talk, shitposts, and some game fanarts show up here. Maybe some life stuff too, I dunno.

Honestly, while I kinda hated them when I was younger, I've really come around to liking layered, differently colored health bars. Going from Yellow health to Red health and instantly knowing shit's fucked is kinda charming. I don't think it was ever used that much as a system though

Wait are we having another 64 revival thing going on or something? This is reminding me a lot of the 3ds reviving 64 games. (Yes, I know I'm late on a lot of this, I woke up after the direct ended...)

You know, every time I see "HD-2D" visual styles I kinda just yawn... I think it looks so bland to me thanks to the backgrounds not always fitting the 2d sprites. Or maybe it's the sprites themselves not fitting the backgrounds? Low-res pixels on higher poly bgs kinda just looks weird...

So Fantasy Consoles tend to have their own little online libraries that people upload their games onto... is there something similar to a Fantasy Console that gives retro-style restrictions while letting you easily export to an executable file? Or is there Fantasy Consoles that do that themselves?

All fighting games need at least one character that can only be described as “the creature”. Whether that’s just a little guy or a feral beast that takes up half the screen it is a necessity to a good fighter. Whether it be an actual creature or a creature-like human, it’s needed, I tell ya!

I really need to learn Blender more... there's probably a texture technique similar to old FPS mapping tools where you can paint a face one 64x64 texture and tile it across that entire face and I wouldn't even know lol

So Destiny 2 is dead, eh? There's a part of me that is surprised to have seen it last even this long given how often it felt like there was a controversy about it... I won't pretend that I was super enthused by the game myself, but I always did see potential in it.

Genuinely, Invincible VS has been a ton of fun to play with my more casual friends. I dunno if I'd consider it a "beginner friendly" game due to the number of mechanics at play, but it's a good game to play against similarly skilled players and immediately get to the sauce in though! #invincibleVS

So I have just completed the story mode for Invincible VS... that was actually pretty cool! Slightly disappointed that it feels more like an "episode 1" than anything, but if we do get more for this storyline, I'm actually pretty hooked with what we got so far #InvincibleVS

One of the more fascinating things about being so big into old MMOs is seeing all the private servers for games long dead, or what you've never heard of before. There's entire games out there that hold cherished memories to people you've never met, they probably still think about it now.

Lately I've been playing Maplestory both modern and classic (via private servers) and seeing how things have changed. some thing have definitely gotten better while there's also a number of things that just feel weird in modern. They took out exploration and diverse beginner maps for example...

Also I guess the term Online RPG (ORPG) is missing in today's lexicon, given how often I hear things like Phantasy Star Online and Atlyss referred to as "MMOs". Which is especially funny in the case of PSO given at max you usually have like... what, 12 players? Not exactly "massive".
