The best part about sub hour now being a thing in Donkey Kong Bananza will be the stream monsters NOT asking if/when sub hour is gonna happen every other day in the Bananza Discord server anymore.

That Donkey Kong Bananza run at AGDQ 2026 might've just been one of the greatest GDQ runs of all time. And it's not just me saying it, other people are saying it too. Sports Illustrated says it. The Bleacher Report says it. Spikevegeta says it.

What my drive back from AGDQ looked like:

I'm home! Went into this GDQ with the intention of it being my last, but I got such great feedback from my Bananza run on top of getting to spend good time with people I don't usually get to spend time with at these events that I might be getting the itch again. I'll consider attending SGDQ... 👀

The sudden and incomprehensible urge to watch Hell's Kitchen again...

Did the thing. Lots of stuff to like about this game, but also a fair amount of things I had issues with, especially the ending. Overall a fun and enjoyable ride. Looks great, sounds great and plays like a Metroid Prime game, even though it doesn't hold a candle to the first 2 of that series.
