On this 250th anniversary of our country's independence we must remember Ben Franklin's warning, who when asked what they had created said, "a republic, if you can keep it." It's up to all of us to ensure our nation remains one of, by, and for the people. Happy Independence Day!

On Monday, SCOTUS green-lit yet another Trump power grab: helping him stack independent agencies with his cronies. No president, Democrat or Republican, should have this much unchecked power. We must push back. 250 years ago we said No Kings, and today, we will say the same!

I’m proud to stand with the LGBTQ+ community this month and all year. The Trump admin is set on stripping minorities – from immigrants to LGBTQ+ people – of their rights. I will never stop fighting to ensure we can ALL live with dignity, liberty, and justice.
