Seconded. I've been on & off the apps. Mainly I'd just like more trans women & trans fem friends here in Columbus and out in Seattle, but I'm definitely open to the possibility of dating if all the lights on the dash are green. But the apps are indeed, dogshit. A real bowl of farts, you could say. 😐

This thread hits home. I've been on Feeld for maybe a month, one person has liked my profile and I got one message total. I would like to date but these apps are absolute dogshit.

Finally made this connection bc they popped up back-to-back on shuffle: In 1996, when I was a DJ @ KUGS-FM in Bellingham, the Wilco song that initially grabbed me was "Monday" from their '96 double LP Being There. It grabbed my attn bc it sounds like "Happy," which is my fave Rolling Stones song.

34 years old in the upper left photo. Started HRT at age 37. Upper right photo is age 42 (2017, 5 years HRT, 3 years out as a trans woman). Now I'm 51, a non-binary trans fem, and the bottom row are 2 pics of me in 2026. ☺️

There is still time, as they say.

If you have transitioned later in life, please know how deeply you are needed here. Your story is the exact proof someone else needs to finally take their first step.

Day 1 after my position was eliminated at the full time job I'd had for 10 years. Mostly still just shell shocked. I still have my part time teaching gig, but I'm gonna need to find more (back on that adjunct treadmill, Mona!). Also might be time to put out my own shingle as an LGBTQ+ educator.

Also want to get back into something like fighting trim, so to speak.

Not gonna get into details bc I don't want to burn any bridges, but I just got unceremoniously fired from my primary full time job after 10 years of service. I'll be fine but I admit I'm a bit staggered and stunned at the moment (and I admit I might freak out and delete this post at any moment).

A performance that popped for me during my 3rd screening of The Odyssey? Himesh Patel as Eurylochus, Odysseus's second-in-command. He gives what could have been a thankless exposition-delivery-system role some actual juice. (Also he's really great in a handful of scenes in TENET)
