I've decided to shut down verifiedbsky.net. While there was quite a bit of interest early, that has basically completely died down and it took some effort to keep the service alive. It was fun, I learned a lot, but it doesn't make sense anymore. Thanks to everyone who used and supported it!

It took a bit, but we now have the first verified #AWSHero, @lockhead.dev! If you are an #AWSHero yourself or know anyone who might want to get that label, it's very easy at verifiedbsky.net

Thanks to great input by @bmarwell.de, verified bluesky now also supports Apache Foundation Member verification 🥳 Thanks a lot! With the same update, I have also removed support for conference verification as there was very limited demand by organizers and speakers

Since today re-verification of accounts verified on verifiedbsky.net is happening. Every week, each account is checked if the verification still is ok. If it fails twice, a notification DM is sent. If it fails 4 times, the label is removed and the account is removed from all lists.

On to the next verification source: #IBMChampions can now also use verifiedbsky.net to get a verification badge! See for example how @richard.fichtner.dev has used it below 😊

To all the #AWSHeroes out there: You can now use verifiedbsky.net to get an "AWS Hero" badge! Give it a try and let me know if anything fails

Nice, @verifiedbsky.net has added a whole bunch of verification, including Oracle ACEs, in addition to Java champions…
