So two key questions that both sides need to address: Does ownership of an asset by a transient wealth owner lead to more sustainable growth than by whomever would buy up what they sell if they left? If house prices were 3-5 years salary, what would *all* the consequences be *in sum*?

Fundamentally the question boils down to: do the people who may leave produce better more sustainable growth, than people who would buy up their assets if those people leave. Though broadly Id argue thats a supply side topic, and housing prices getting to 3-5y salary would be most key. 1/3

While everyone is rightly interested in patriots produced in Europe, its prudent to make a European alternative and smart to not be a direct competitor, persuing mass. Allowing space in the market for patriots as the exquisite package. It also conveniently avoids trumpian leverage.

⚡️ Ukraine to present Freya anti-ballistic project in France. President Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine will unveil its "Freya" defense system at an upcoming meeting in France, a project intended to secure national airspace that may eventually be offered to European partners.

Its quite mad to think putin is so obsessed with being a historical figure he will grind through a million plus of his own russian people, kidnap thousands of European children, and impoverish those he is supposed to look after. Its not like he is even good at building a state. Russia uses donkeys.

Were I Al Carns, I'd focus on brand Britain, talk about pride in His Majesties companies (national versions of rail and water etc) while touting defence seriousness as a chance to invest in tech, infrastructure, and manufacturing (and so growth) in a way that makes us safer through dual use.

Labour MP John Slinger says the party needs a full leadership contest - and a failure to do so would make it seem as if they had "lost our minds". Al Carns and Darren Jones considering standing.

Every country has something unique for tourists. France has the eiffel tour, Lonon has big ben, and russia has its columns of thick black smoke of immolated oil logistics due to its traditional three day invasion which it has celebrated every day for 15 years, some say more.

Russians enter Crimea via the Kerch Bridge, ignoring warnings not to do so in the form of the burning Kerch marine oil terminal

Note, its not on us if Putin decides stealing territories is something he is willing to bet the state on. He can always negotiate an end to his invasion. Ignore their bluster, while troops remain in Ukraine, they always have the option to go home to russia. Annexing new land is not existential.

Looks like that Russians are scrambling more air defense assets in order to defend Moscow, Russia. Clearly, their are afraid. And this will expose the rest of the country even more. Let us see how long it will take until their ammunition is spent.

Russians may forget but they crossed into Ukraine, tried to take the capital, de facto annexed sections of Ukraine, allowed and enabled attrocities to be commited up to and including kidnapping Ukraines children. We arent just funding Ukraine, we are funding the victim against the aggressor.
