Messed around with basic particle effects for attacks. Playing Gravity Circuit kind of open my eyes to how I want thinks to feel, and this is an area (among many) where I feel i haven't made things adequate.

Hit a small epiphany when thinking of both of these characters in tandem, that sometimes people's ability to actually understand and empathize with autism is so low they will actually just label them as sociopaths. "They don't think like us and that's scary." Fuck. Dude.

On a much more positive note. Seeing someone neglected, abused, deeply socially isolated, and disliked by everyone even in a meta-contextual way, who probably had every right to be angry about it, rise above all of it and choose compassion, is one of the most satisfying things I've watched ever.

You know what? Like, I'm always afraid of speaking up about things because I don't like creating problems for other people. But I shouldn't just let everything be a problem for only me, I don't deserve that.

You know I'm really fucking trying to be as positive and happy about Jax as I can but honestly I just fucking know egg crackers will feel personally vindicated by this and I don't know if I can even trust that we're mature enough as a community to think Ribbit's actions could have caused some harm.

A Mountain's Nuclear Shadow (Vent art I've never posted here. I've fully conquered the feelings behind drawing this by now, but today has felt very good and special for some reason. So I thought sharing it here would be decent celebration.)

The tattered and torn shadow of a woman kneels on a pile of rubble, depicted in harsh black and red. She is in visible distress and agony, appearing to cry. Her arms look as though they're tearing from her shoulders, and her ankles are pierced through with small holes. Her abdomen is missing, replaced by a swirling dark blob, and her entire lower jaw is gone.

Thinking more about why I like Tank Chair so much, and I think its partly that I deeply empathize with Shizuka. When you care about someone enough you feel like you'd do anything to help them, even very dangerous and stupid things. Especially if they can't be around anymore and you want them back.

Any time any one says something nice or acknowledges my talents in any way that isn't just a metric, It's like I turn into a cloud and float into outer-space. Even when it's just as basic as "this is cool!", my reaction is always "YYESSSS!! THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOOORR!!"

please understand. artists don't get nearly as much feedback (praise, comments or otherwise) as you think they do. much less than years and years ago. we don't know how much you like it. we don't know how it affected you. unless you say something, or recommend it, comment, reblog. anything.

weird dream sharing time. Pretty sure I was in a fucked up version of Digital Circus where Caine was obsessed with terrible horror games. And I think I beat Choo Choo Charles to death with a pillow and he exploded into a shower of colorful gore.

I've been getting really into writing lately and regretably putting words into a specific order so they sound good and then using words with ideas so you don't have to use other words is very fun. I believe high level writers call this pro-say or something similar.

I wish I had an adequate way to convey how dramatic my personal journey has been but like. Four years ago I was such a constantly scared and traumatized person, and now every year since has felt like the best year of my entire life. Things are so severely better for me it defies explanation.
