Was completely unaware of this until now, but SoundAlerts now offer AI TTS as a Premium feature. I don't think I was using their service anymore anyway, but I'm loudly adding this to the list of slop services I shall be avoiding. 💖

for streamers who could be affected by this... I've been working on an alternative to SE for awhile now, which runs entirely on your computer. Slime2 Desktop is getting close to public release, it manages both custom overlay widgets AND custom bot widgets.

RE: StreamElements (This is going to be long.) To get everyone on the same page, here's a breakdown on what's happening, because rumors always travel further and faster in a vacuum. Earlier today, there was an initial rumor that StreamElements was laying off all staff and shutting down.

alright, i can definitively say i'm not streaming today either, my pc is nowhere near ready, let alone obs - BUT! i can guarantee, wholeheartedly, that it'll be ready for wednesday anyway did you know they changed ms paint. i didn't until someone asked me how i had "old ms paint" ages ago

the moment DLSS stops being about pixel counts and becomes about injecting lighting and other artistic details that were not intended to begin with is the moment i'm out dude. felt like it was only a matter of time given NVIDIA but it feels truly dire as someone who has otherwise enjoyed DLSS.
