Get down to Grange Lane for our final friendly, vs Cleethorpes. Lovely to remember Colin Wicks. He was a massive part of both clubs. When Ferriby was in free-fall he stayed with the club and tried to broker a relationship with fans. It was a tough time. Respected him for that.

6-3 defeat last night against Scunthorpe but another good run out for the lads versus higher opposition, in the Ferriby sun. Very much held our own. Shooting and defending on the training plan for both sides. Now onward to final friendly against Cleethorpes (H) on Sat 💚

Looking forward to today's Ferriby friendly. Think the last time we played Scarborough Athletic was Sept 2018 in the last NFU season. Took my camera and got a celebration shot that became a cover for our zine.

The future's bright. The futures's green and white. Trophy already secured in the inaugural Jeff Barmby Trophy vs Scarborough. Ferriby looking sharp again. Great saves from Dash. Day has such presence up front. New defence looking strong.

Barnstoneworth, last weekend. Then (1935 😉) and now. Was good fun visiting Saltaire and reimagining Michael Palin's football classic. I hope Salts FC are doing ok, in their place.

Was interested in this commemoration of Appleby's FA Cup run in 1977/78 in their trophy cabinet. Doing some digging, I note Frickley beat Ferriby 3-1 in the round before. Not clear here, but Appleby bt Frickley 2-1 (they went on to bt Brigg then lose to Mossley in the 4rd Qual Round)
