Just finished #baking the most beautiful buckle and scones. I'm so excited to try them! It's my first time baking scones but the cookbook I use has some fantastic and clasic recipes. I've never made anything from this book that was disliked. It's called Sweat Treats by William-Sonoma. #ciy #cooking

Oooohhhhhh I was so lucky!!! So lucky!!! It truly does feel so good when the bobbin runs out right at the end vs how awful it feels when it runs out in the middle of sewing something up. #sewing #memade

Starting a new set of projects. Technically hold overs from last months list of quehaceres. I'm starting with the guest room clothes hamper. It's needed a liner for the 2 or more years since I bought. I chose a white and blue small leaf patterned cotton from my stash. #sewing #memade #stashbusting

Participating in every crafters end of project pass time aka not letting myself sleep until I finish. I really am almost done. I just have this last half of the front hem. Watching some CarlyB as I do.

We're getting somewhere. I conferred with a friend on which pattern pairing she liked best and we agreed flipping the pattern of the excess fabric was the best option. So, I cut the excess in two and sewed it to the top. I just have to sew up the sides. I plan to use Simplicity 5628 as a guide.

I don't know what to do. I can't decide whether to make this a shirt or a dress? If dress, do I make it long or short? To make it a puffed sleeve or to leave it fluttery as it currently is? And then what pattern grouping do I go proceed with? No sè!!! #sewing #dilemma

Testing patterns. Different patterned blankets laid out to piece together.Testing patterns. Different patterned blankets laid out to piece together.Testing patterns. Different patterned blankets laid out to piece together.Testing patterns. Different patterned blankets laid out to piece together.

This evening's stopping point. I'm very pleased the direction this is going. It'll be interesting to see how it'll look once finished. I'm having a hard time deciding whether to make it a shirt or continue on the path of creating a dress. #sewing #patchwork

This is where I'll finish for tonight. I need to find which of the other blanket patterns will pair well with these two prints so I can apply the gussets and add some pockets. I'm going to have to call in help to cut this to the desired length too. The sashiko will be an ongoing side quest.

Last night I was stubborn and still tried to finish some of the smaller sew and repair projects on my list. I don't recommend sewing when you're tired, but everything turned out fine so its cool. I made this cherry utensils holder for my utensils pouch. Based off one I bought retail ages ago.

Two utensils holders. One in a cherry design and the other (the original inspiration) in a floral design.A cherry pattern utensil holder with bright green strap.A cherry pattern utensil holder with bright green strap.
