All there is left to do is sew on my labels, but I ran out so I have to order more. Can you believe I went through 50 labels?!? I can't. With these six done, my bingo goal of sewing 25 gifts is now at a count of 8 with 17 left to go. #holidaysewing #memade #simplicitypatternS9511

I finished my weekend task of completing one of the two gift patterns. I sewed six of #Simplicity #S9511. It was very straight forward and an easy sew. If making only one or two, you could finish it with a few hours. #sewing #memade #giftsewing
Next project patterns have been cut and ironed. I need to decide on fabrics next. #holidaygifting #sewing
They are delicious. Light and crumbly. Perfectly complimenting the creamy butter. I'll take them to work tomorrow and get the crew consensus, but its 2 thumbs up from me. #tastetest #ciy #cooking #baking
I'm currently tacking down the straps. It took very little convincing to decide I'm not wasting my snaps. #homecoming #memade #stashbusting
This is why you should never rush, especially when holding scissors. I've done a rough whip stitch. No one will notice this so I don't care. #memade #mended #homesewing
Finished!!! I have a hamper liner for the guest room. It may never get used for this purpose, but if it does I'll be ready. #sewing #memade #stashbusting
I've removed the snaps and will start the tacking. #sewing #stashbusting
I dug some snaps out of my collection. I'm going to hand sew them on in the morning. It took a hot second to weave these through with my brittle nails so I don't want to take it off to put it back on again. #sewing #memade #stashbusting
Starting a new set of projects. Technically hold overs from last months list of quehaceres. I'm starting with the guest room clothes hamper. It's needed a liner for the 2 or more years since I bought. I chose a white and blue small leaf patterned cotton from my stash. #sewing #memade #stashbusting
The garment shown laid flat and hanging. I am pleased as punch with the finished product. I just need to give it a steam and I'm all set. I love how whimsical and fun it is with the mix of colors and patterns. #upcycled #patchwork #sewing #streganona
Participating in every crafters end of project pass time aka not letting myself sleep until I finish. I really am almost done. I just have this last half of the front hem. Watching some CarlyB as I do.
Almost done! I'll work on hand sewing the hem with a tunnel stitch and tacking at the side seams. Once that's finished I'll be done! I really like how it came out. I think it'll be a comfy quirky garment in my wardrobe. #upcycled #patchwork #sewing
We're getting somewhere. I conferred with a friend on which pattern pairing she liked best and we agreed flipping the pattern of the excess fabric was the best option. So, I cut the excess in two and sewed it to the top. I just have to sew up the sides. I plan to use Simplicity 5628 as a guide.
This is a very good tutorial on how to machine darn a hole or tear in your clothing #mending youtube.com/shorts/V9jPD...

This evening's stopping point. I'm very pleased the direction this is going. It'll be interesting to see how it'll look once finished. I'm having a hard time deciding whether to make it a shirt or continue on the path of creating a dress. #sewing #patchwork
This is where I'll finish for tonight. I need to find which of the other blanket patterns will pair well with these two prints so I can apply the gussets and add some pockets. I'm going to have to call in help to cut this to the desired length too. The sashiko will be an ongoing side quest.
On my way with it all... it may stay a dress. I may just have two dresses. We'll see... I don't know which I'd love more.
The side quest continues. Starting the t-shirt dress project. #sewingadventures
Last night I was stubborn and still tried to finish some of the smaller sew and repair projects on my list. I don't recommend sewing when you're tired, but everything turned out fine so its cool. I made this cherry utensils holder for my utensils pouch. Based off one I bought retail ages ago.
