Just to clarify - the new announcement about copyright is not a new rule. We are just enforcing the rules we already have and reducing abuse. There are many channels that just upload TV shows and anime and use our website as a piracy streaming service. We are not a free cartoon streaming site. 1/2
Just a heads up - it's always been against the rules to upload TV shows and movies but we're going to be taking it more seriously soon. We're giving everyone a two week notice to remove any TV shows before we do. This doesn't effect content like YTPs or anything you remixed - that's fair use.

Backup restoration is just about done. It took longer than expected, but we've decided to wait until tomorrow to put the site back up after we finish 2FA. Sorry for the delay.
Update: We believe we have identified the culprit. What we know is the culprit compromised a moderator's Gmail account, other accounts, and likely their computer. Those were then used those to gain access to VidLii's moderator tools. Only emails have been accessed; no IP addresses or passwords.
We're still restoring from backup, it's just slow. We should be back up today.
This is VidLii's dev, BF3k. It looks like one of our moderators was hacked and their account was used to access our moderation tools. I'm still investigating. 🧵
