Today, VoidZero joins Cloudflare. Vite remains MIT, vendor-neutral, and stewarded by the same wider team. The same goes for Vitest, Rolldown, and Oxc. Cloudflare is also committing $1M to an OSS fund to support independent development in the Vite ecosystem.

Great! 🚀 Hard to predict these things, but I'm optimistic Vite and VoidZero will stay mostly independent within Cloudflare. Vite and VoidZero can now focus on building great tools ⚡️ without money-pressure from investors 🕊️

@viteconf.org was a blast. It was amazing meeting so many folks from the Vite ecosystem. And... lots of new collaboration potential! With @pi0.io we got along really well and we want to collaborate on server & deployment infrastructure. Thank you so much @evanyou.me for everything.

Added use cases for +onCreatePageContext and +onCreateGlobalContext to the docs. Vike is the only framework with low-level hooks that let you build all kinds of web architectures. E.g. DocPress (SSG powering vike.dev) couldn't be built with other frameworks.

Now also talking with Netlify & Cloudflare. The ball is rolling. Can't wait to build the server infrastructure common to many frameworks. Similarly to what Vite did with compilation. universal-middleware (github.com/magne4000/un...) is just the beginning.

We're chatting with @tannerlinsley.com as we speak about sharing server infrastructure. Joël did an awesome job on universal-middleware, and we can't for it to eventually become the de facto JS server interop layer based on WinterCG and WHATWG.

Vite 6.0.9 / 5.4.12 / 4.5.6 has been released with *breaking changes* due to security issues. I recommend upgrading it. Some users may need to update the config options. Please check github.com/vitejs/vite/... if you encountered any errors.
