This summer, I’ve launched a campaign to tackle the NHS Dentistry crisis. In Dorset alone, millions of pounds have reportedly gone unspent or been removed from a supposedly ringfenced dentistry budget, while patients face worsening access to care and growing waiting lists.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the first half of my Summer Village Tour last week 🙏 5 days, and 10 villages covered! It was fantastic to hear your views on a wide range of issues, from rural bus connectivity to your thoughts on the new Prime Minister.
In the early days of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Iryna photographed her family as they lived under occupation and survived evacuation. Originally taken as family photographs, these images were carried through Russian checkpoints. Soon after, Iryna made the decision to leave Ukraine.
A big thank you to Sainsbury's in Wareham for taking disposable BBQ's off of their shelves 🎉 In hot, dry conditions like this summer, these disposable BBQs are a major preventable ignition source. Try using a fixed or reusable BBQ in a safe, designated area, or swap to a picnic or cold meal instead
The severity of violence against civilians in the West Bank is escalating dangerously, and our Government must take action. I have written to the new Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband to call for him to take more decisive action to hold Israel to account, and to support Palestinians in the West Bank.
One more sleep til Poole Harbour Festival and the fab Scouting for Girls!! Here’s the time I told @ukparliament.parliament.uk about the first time I got to sing along to “she’s so lovely” … excited to lose my voice again tomorrow on all their tracks … What’s your favourite?
And I couldn’t be prouder that today my son is leading 35 Broadstone Scouts to Kandersteg in Switzerland - home of the international mini jamboree, that Baden-Powell dreamed of Attending these overseas trips himself as a scout, he has now organised, age 21, this adventure for 35 boys & girls ⚜️🏕️ 🌍🥾

When I was a child blackberries meant back to school and harvest festival. I even remember a poem we read that started “blackberries in the hedges are hanging ripe and good” which appears to be part of a children’s hymn … but it’s only July and hedges near me already have ripe blackberries … 😱
We may be away from Westminster over the summer, but we will keep up the pressure on the new Prime Minister to ensure the victims of the Chinook disaster are afforded their rights under the Duty of Candour. Please watch this video to find out more: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rah1...
Friday's Village Tour stops are in Wareham and Stoborough! 🌿 I’ll be in Wareham from 1:30pm, then I'll head over to The Hayricks in Stoborough at 4pm. If you're nearby, please do come and say hello. The best part of being an MP is getting to talk to you about the issues that you care about.

I'm off to Sturminster Marshall and Shapwick tomorrow 📣 I’ll be stopping by Sturminster Marshall Village Hall from 1pm, then heading over to The Anchor pub in Shapwick at 3pm. If you're nearby, do pop by to have a chat. I'd love to hear what's on your mind and discuss what matters most to you.
Mr Farage is NOT currently an MP so why would he be invited? Reform UK is currently NOT a major party in parliament, they would contribute 8 votes if there was legislation proposed.
So, Farage has another hissy fit about ‘the establishment’ not including him in social care talks even though he excluded himself by sticking his snout so deep in the trough he triggered several investigations into his insatiable greed. Pipe down you utter clown. www.lbc.co.uk/article/refo...
What a special evening with the Bovington Military Wives Choir at Bloxworth Church 🎶 A wonderful night of music, poetry, laughter and community spirit, all while raising funds for this beautiful village church. Thank you to everyone who came along, and to the performers for a moving evening.
It was great to meet residents in Bere Regis and Bloxworth today where we covered everything from buses to planning, traffic to defence and I shared my thoughts on the new Prime minister & his early policy announcements
More Village Tour tomorrow! ☀️ I’ll be stopping by Lytchett Matravers Village Hall from 9am, then heading over to Upton Library for 11:30am. If you're nearby, do come along and say hello. I'd love to hear what's on your mind and chat about local issues.

A single bee can visit up to 5,000 flowers in one day, and around 1 in every 3 mouthfuls of food we eat depends on pollinators like bees.🐝 Today is #WorldConservationDay, let's celebrate these remarkable insects and the vital role they play in supporting our wildlife and environment.
I will be in Bere Regis and Bloxworth for my Village Tour tomorrow 📣 Starting in Bere Regis at the Village Hall at 9am, I will then head to Bloxworth Village Club later in the morning. Pop along and say hi if you can 👋
Our local optometrists do so much more than eye tests. 👀 It was brilliant to hear how community eye care helps people get support quickly, and close to home. As the NHS looks to deliver more care in the community, we need to make sure everyone can access high-quality eye care when they need it.
Keeping it all crossed that this is the politics we have been waiting for …
Grown up, collaborative politics. More please…
Great to visit Wimborne FoodBank Funday, loads of great work being done but also caught up with the folk at Millstream Theatre Group who gave me a very special copy of their book of poetry-Shaine, Amy, Alan, Marc & Lisa-autographed it for me and shared the precious things that help them feel safe
It’s been proven to have the most dense nutritional value of any food substance and the pesto is delicious! We should look to replace basil pesto made in Italy with UK watercress pesto!
Did you know Ancient Greeks and Romans believed watercress had medicinal properties and used it to treat various ailments? It was a pleasure to visit a local watercress farm and learn more about the work that goes into growing one of the UK's most nutritious crops. A huge thank you to the team!

The best part of this job is speaking with people about the issues that affect their daily lives, whether that's a local concern, or an idea for making the area even better. Please do come by and chat with me on my tour this summer! www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/2640235...

Good to visit Old Market Road with local councillors and Dorset Council officers to discuss the improvement works planned for this important route. Residents and businesses have waited a long time for progress, and I'm pleased to see plans moving forward.
Volunteers Wanted 📣 I recently had the pleasure of meeting Gail and Anne from Friends of MS: Purbeck and Swanage. As dedicated volunteers, they help raise thousands of pounds to support local people living with Multiple Sclerosis.
A tiny puffling. A huge bit of good news. 🐧✨ The first confirmed puffling sighting in Dorset for 30 years has been recorded at Dancing Ledge. With puffin numbers so low, it's a hopeful sign and a great reminder of why protecting our wildlife and coastline matters. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
First sighting of young puffin off Dorset coast for 30 years
Fears have been growing over the survival of the south coast's last puffin colony.
