Two runners recognized me when I went on out a walk yesterday. Construction workers that I've been running close to several times a week were cheering me on this morning during a run. Tied my personal best unofficially last Sunday. I'm as ready as I'll ever be for this year's half-marathon 😄🏃

I don't always relax around the house in assless chaps with baby oil on my chest, but when I do it's after unofficially tying my half-marathon personal best of 1h 31m. Feeling like a sexy badass right now as my muscles recharge. One week till I run in the official race.

Started rehearsing for my piano concert with the full costume on, and realized that playing with sunglasses is just too difficult...will still hope to play with the wig on. Less visibility and more distractions make it harder to the right notes.

Got complimented at the gym today by someone who recognized me, having paid note to how long and fast I run! 😎 He ran a 10k last year, and aiming for a half-marathon. I gave him some tips and advice, and told him I finished in the top 10 of 200+ in my category in a half-marathon last year.

For me, piano is an escape from the world we live in, where I can just focus on transmitting emotions through melodies, harmonies and rhythm. Although it's pretty funny to be getting real emotional on the keys when I'm covering an 80s song about doing heroin and banging groupies.
