Hey Thursday. Chapter 4 has just over 500 new words, so that's still going well. Here are some strange lighting effects created by sunlight squeezing through a narrow space in the blinds of our bedroom, the end wall of which is blue. Cool, huh?

Morning Wednesday. Even though I've been busy with Kinnie (correct spelling) the Kitten, I've managed to forge ahead on the new project. Chapter 4 is coming along nicely. And here are a couple of Kinnie shots, so you can see how big he's getting.

Hey Thursday. Update on the kitten. We have found him a forever home, and they have named him Kinny (sp?). They can't pick him up for a couple of weeks, so he'll stay with us until then. In the meantime, here are some photos. We had a lot more, but they're all blurry, 'cuz he won't hold still.

Hey Saturday. So, let's see. M3.2 earthquake around 8pm last night. M5.4 around 2am this morning. Another two 3.notmuch at 7am and 8am. Our place? A few pictures are crooked, and a frightened Luna the Cat. Other people? Not so lucky, but mostly cracks in the plaster.

Morning Monday. People have been asking for updates on the kitten, so here are some recent photos. He looks skinnier than he is, and he's very strong and rambunctious for such a little guy. My hand is included because otherwise he wouldn't sit still enough for a photo.

Hey Wednesday. Well. Yesterday all plans went for naught since Paul found a tiny kitten underneath a car. We could hear him meowing from our balcony. Vet says he's okay, only cold and dirty. Cold we can fix right away, dirty may have to wait.

Hey Tuesday. The 40C temperatures we've been getting lately mean we aren't going out as much as we normally do, but the heat is still enervating. As a result I've been stuck on chapter 3 of Dreamlog for all of last week, after my overview discussion with Paul. Luna the Cat has found a cool spot.

Hey Thursday. Here's yesterday's temperature. The upper figure is on our balcony, in the shad. The lower figure is in our living room, with the A/C.

Hey Wednesday. Been distracted from Dreamlog the last few days, but talked it over with Paul yesterday and I'm back on track. You know how it works, he makes suggestions, I tell him why they're no good, I make countersuggestions that . . . hmmm . . . yeah . . . this'll work. [sounds of typing]

Hey Monday. No progress on Dreamlog chapter 4, as I went back to Artefact for some running around. And speaking of running around, we finally have our national health numbers, and a doctor and all, so we can quit paying for private insurance. Paul is looking at the top shelf in the wine store.

Hey Tuesday. Looks like I may have finished Chapter 3. Came to a good place to end it, and even though it seems a bit short, it still feels like a good spot. So, review yesterday's stuff today, and then possibly move on to chapter 4. Fingers crossed.

Morning Monday. Last week was a nicely productive week, with more than 1.5K words added to chapter 3 of Dreamlog in only two days. The rest of the productivity had to do with cooking and preparing for a small tapas fest. It's hot, so we have to be creative.

Hey #WordWednesday. I reported a week or so ago that I submitted Artefact for it's next round of scrutiny. While I await news from that front, I've returned to my new project Dreamlog. In the last couple of days I've added 1K words to chapter three. To celebrate, here's a cat graffito.

Just a couple of photos for #FoodFriday. Pig's ears, a pork loin steak, and a tiny roasted chicken, with a sprig of rosemary in its neck hole. Oh yead, and a donkey enjoying a carrot. What? That's food.

Morning Wednesday. Had a lucky break with Dreamlog yesterday, in which I discovered a solution to a great big problem that was laughing at me. Hah! Who's got the last laugh now?

Hey #FoodFriday. I thought I had posted these photos of a couple of tapas before, but maybe not, so here they are. Fried chicken with BBQ sauce (Paul's is better) and a nice piece of swordfish. Local bar, free with the drinks.

I was going to reshare an excellent image, but the person was putting up someone else's image they copied from elsewhere...and that image has its rights reserved. Friends: please don't do this. There is a difference between reposting a social media post and taking an image from elsewhere.

Morning Monday. Pleased to report that the edits to Artefact have been completed and the ms will be handed in today. There weren't a lot of changes, so I'm hoping this is it. Luna the cat is more interested in the cool spot on the floor.

Hey Tuesday. The final futzing around with Artefact is shaping up. I've finished the spot fixes, and I start reading from the beginning to slide things in throughout. Hope I don't mess up anything that's already good, but those are the chances you take. Luna the Cat asks if I need help.

Good morning #WordWednesday. Of course, just as I'm getting into the swing of things with Dreamlog, notes for Artefact arrive and DL goes back on the shelf. The notes are wonderfully helpful, however, so I'm feeling good. Getting right to work on them this morning. Luna the Cat offers to supervise.

Morning Monday. I'm happy to report that work on the new project - tentatively entitled Dreamlog - has been progressing pretty well. I had to go back and add something to chapter 2, but since I was only in chapter 3, that was easy. Still haven't heard anything about Artefact, but maybe this week.

Morning Friday. I should be doing a food post today - I still have some photos from the French trip - but instead I'm thinking about how yesterday was an anniversary for us. Seven years ago yesterday we arrived in Spain as permanent residents, not as people only visiting family. So far, so good.
