Vision Zero partners visited a stretch of Stelzer Rd that frequently experiences fatal and serious injury crashes. Each participant brought their unique expertise to the evaluation, giving us a comprehensive look at the factors that make this road highly dangerous to develop real solutions.

This week, we installed a "quick build" test project at the high-crash intersection at Courtright Rd and E Livingston Ave. The materials and tools used in test projects allow us to design and install safety improvements faster than construction projects typically take.

Before & After on our latest test project at E Livingston Ave, leading up to the high-crash intersection at Courtright Rd. We installed water barriers to close the 1000-foot right hand turn lane. By narrowing the roadway, we hope to slow drivers, reduce erratic driving behavior and reduce crashes.

Everyone deserves to make it home safely every night. Unfortunately, some people must drive through corridors that are highly dangerous.  Vision Zero is committed to transforming our transportation system to prioritize human life and health.  columbus.gov/visionzero

That fresh paint feeling😍 Work on N 4th St is still underway, with green bike lane markings and sturdy bollards getting added next! Once complete, this will be the city’s longest protected bike lane, providing 2+ miles of connectivity to other Columbus bikeways.

Flashing Yellow Arrow signals are now live at four intersections on N Hamilton Road! These signals are proven to decrease the frequency and severity of left-turn crashes, the leading cause of serious injury and fatal crashes. Our Vision Zero Coordinator explains how to use them🚦👀
