Never forget that for every vile person in this fandom, there is a plethora of kind, caring and supportive players, of amazing people with great morals, of potential friends – and I'm so thankful for that. The bad actions of a few users, however loud they are, do not reflect the fandom as a whole.
I will always appreciate videogames for being a space to look and be what's not realistically possible

lrp; adding to the chorus of ffxiv art party love. I've been able to slowly improve and experiment with my own art without external pressures of "professional quality", but most importantly I've met so many kind and friendly people whose skill and genuine passion are inspiring.
I'd like to think that those involved in the FFXIV Art Party Community can all work together as hosts/attendees to help discourage the use of AI in these spaces and promote people who try their very best instead. So please feel free to promote your AP work below if you feel comfortable.
Bringing genAI slop to art parties is one of the most heartbreaking and infuriating disrespect towards the FFXIV art community.
I think the intention of the “no tracing” artfight rule is to curb very specific kinds of submissions that trace assets with no derivative change, all for the sake of “points-maxing” during the event.
