A new historical novel from Kate Atkinson is a cause for celebration. Her new one is OUR NOBLE SELVES, set in 1951 in the offices planning the upcoming Festival of Britain. Atkinson brings an oddball cast of characters and her signature wit to this compelling novel. #ewgc @prhlibrary.bsky.social
I loved ETNA by Paul Yoon so much. A dog trained for military duty decides at the end of the war that he wants to return to his home. So beautifully written and emotionally resonant, it made me cry. A lot. I hope this makes the Notable Books list. #ewgc @ssedlib.bsky.social
Currently reading the fascinating novel THE STRANGERS by Naomi Alderman. After her mother’s death, the MC sets up a wildlife camera in her parents’ backyard and discovers a new species of mammal. What a unique way of exploring grief and mourning. #ewgc @hachettelibrary.bsky.social
