Grumpy old Doomer, antitheist, anarchist, anti-natalist and not too invested in the biotic freakshow.

Having desulphurised road, rail, construction, agricultural and marine diesels we got stuck into plane engines. Sure we were aware of the risks but we needed to sell the technology dream. And people want cheap, guilt free flights.

I was speaking to your granny in the hospice and she doesn’t want to see you again. Apparently you’re doing her head in with your visits, moidering on about miracle cures and new research. Also she says she’ll strangle you with those effing rosary beads next time they appear.

Of course you dream of a better world where laughing peasants trundle handcarts full of delicious fruit and vegetable to the gaily pennanted markets in smiling city squares. In my world they are ambushed by feral hangries, their carts burned, their contents dumped and bodies barbecued in the embers.

In the simple third world, people can live for years huddled around a bucket of rice. In our more complex death camps we simply won’t tolerate tents without Wi-Fi and access to a range of fast food outlets. And close to an airport.
