We have to ensure that Ukraine is strong in the present moment. This requires concrete action: establishing a no‑fly zone over Western Ukraine, transferring the €300 billion in frozen Russian assets, and setting Ukraine on the path toward EU membership by 2030.

At the same time, it is important for Ukraine to know what comes after a potential truce: the reconstruction, and guarantees of lasting peace. Before we turn to discussions about Ukraine’s future, Kyiv must have a clear understanding of the support it can count on from Europe and the US.

Last night, Russia sent drones into Polish airspace. They were shot down. We see a pattern: the hack of Von Der Leyen's plane, the attack on the EU embassy in Kyiv, and now drones invade EU airspace. The longer we wait without acting the higher the costs becomes.
