What a lovely question! Connection is deeply important for building bonds and a shared narrative, and when there's a vast difference in power, such as physical power that size difference provides, it can make it challenging to bridge the divide and make those connections. Eating meals together is a delightful way to do that! Just as with between people of the same size, breaking bread is a personal and intimate shared experience, especially when the bigger one needs to pinch off crumbs to feed to the smaller.

One form of connection that I adore is working together. When two people strive to accomplish a shared goal, it builds mutual respect and understanding no matter one's size, and when one is much smaller, it proves to both that they're capable despite the disparity. But even just the presence of the smaller, if not the participation, can connect them while the larger labors. It's wonderful to have company and support through challenging tasks, especially when that support is so convenient to carry around, not to mention cozy to cuddle!
