With #AT-SMS we are committed to building group messaging support on top of the most promising decentralized continuous group key agreement (DCGKA). No candidates yet, tho. I think a few more implementations are needed to make the IETF discussions fruitful. bsky.app/profile/bosc...

Codeberg is such a disappointment. I used to build a number of tools that integrated with Farcaster. Is Farcaster crypto? Do I have to ask permission/assessment and explain politely that "it's not crypto the way you may think"? Omg, the arrogance.

ENS is an extraordinary piece of tech. The fact that projects focused on decentralization and censorship resistance ignore it shows: 1. How bad is crypto branding, even between devs who should be embracing a decentralized, censorship-resistant kv-store. 2. How short-sighted these devs are.

So. I'm building my own PDS. Why not use something that's already tested? a) I have some very specific needs (low resources) b) I can leverage some constraints (will support up to a handful of accounts, managed locally, etc) c) I want to get better understanding of atproto components.
