Everywhere in our village the grass is dry and brown and crispy. Not my garden though, there the grass is still green. Proof that having trees and not chopping everything within an inch of its life every five minutes is good for the land.

Last night I had horrible dreams, that suddenly morphed into dreams about my neighbour's cat. Moments later he jumped onto my bed, having apparently squeezed in through my bedroom window. It is hard to stay in a bad dream mood when a cuddle puddle is purring on you.

Burnt to an absolute crisp (despite factor 90 spf) but it was worth it to hear kiddo suddenly squeal "wait, is that the sea?!" (he thought we were going to buy furniture from fb marketplace) Also where else can you see a jellyfish, a baptism and an elderly ladies ripples in the span of 5 minutes?

Husband put the clothes i "left on the chair" in the washing machine, how nice. It was in fact the dress that I am currently making, that still had pins in because I am not finished sewing it. And I can't even get annoyed because you can't be mad at someone for tidying up and doing laundry.

The last two weeks of term are always exhausting. The last two weeks of kiddos last term in primary school? A whole new level of knackering (and expensive, because what do you mean they need a high powered water pistol by the end of the week??)
