Just a few more impressions from #ARRLFieldDay: We call our antenna routing via multiplexers and filters, "Grand Central Station." (Image credit: @scott-schiefer.bsky.social) 1/6

After a splendid #ARRLFieldDay 2026, we're now back to our "regular programming." In particular, we run a weekly net every Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM Pacific on the N6ZX repeater. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to check in with us!
There goes the antenna tower. Just 364 until it goes up again in the very same place. See you then! #ARRLFieldDay #HamRadio
Hard to believe that we’re already done for 2026! #ARRLFieldDay #HamRadio And now, what went up has to come down…
This generator is our store source of electrical energy for the entire 4A station for full of-the-grid operation. #ARRLFieldDay #HamRadio
When professional mechanics in our club do hard-core homebrew, you get antenna tower brackets like this. #ARRLFieldDay #HamRadio
Almost ready to raise the antenna tower. Having a bucket truck makes things so much easier. Drizzling rain, however? Not so much… #ARRLFieldDay #HamRadio
After our club's monthly meeting last night, we've completed our prep work for this year's #AmateurRadio #FieldDay. OK, completed _most_ of it… 🤞 😉 We will, of course, make it happen, and it's gonna be a blast! See — and hear! — you next weekend. 😎
If you've ever wondered why — or even, _if_! — #HamRadio is still a thing 😏, the annual North American #FieldDay event is one of the best opportunities to find out. Use the #ARRL's Field Day Locator web app to find a participating station close to you: www.arrl.org/field-day-lo...

With this year's #HamRadio #FieldDay just three weeks away, it's high time to revive our BlueSky account for the occasion. We'll be operating from the same San Mateo location as every year. Maybe we'll see you there? www.arrl.org/field-day

One of our members shared this video about resonance in our SMRC member chat. And it's way too amazing to not share this more widely. Science rocks! 😉 youtu.be/WCKt405t9V8

We heard few kids on the air from your VHF station, that was really cool!
And that’s a wrap! We hope your Field Day was as awesome and fun as ours! Time to tear stuff down. #ARRLFD #HamRadio #AmateurRadio
We’re operating fully off the grid for those precious extra points. The green generator runs on alcohol as “alternative fuel.” #ARRLFD #HamRadio #AmateurRadio
This year, we’re running two GOTA stations, and there is plenty of interest. #ARRLFD #HamRadio #AmateurRadio
Our filter bank. Also known as “Grand Central Station.” 😉
Our club is flying a flag in memory of George Golda WA6NKM (SK) from the antenna tower. 😢 George passed in 2023 and we miss him dearly. The flag shows George’s call sign, the words “Silent Key,” and a cute 50s-style caricature of a guy operating a radio.
Hey, nice job on raising the mast. I heard some of the pullies were screaming. Next year, someone needs to bring a dab of grease. :-)
