Great article by @chrisbanes.me and it's something I try to advocate as much as possible: we should prepare juniors to become proper seniors in the future, not replace them with AI tools for every small task possible.

2025 was my last year as an Android Google Developer Expert. 👋 I wrote a bit more about it here: www.linkedin.com/feed/update/...

Enough with wars, enough with killing innocent people. At this point it's a hopeless wish, I know, but it's sad to see the world being destroyed day by day, by people with so much ego and greed in their hands, and not be able to do anything about it.
When you're very proud of the feature your team have shipped, even though no one wants it. 😅
As part of the Google Developer Expert program, I'm considering doing some Android + Kotlin mentorship sessions for students and junior engineers who might be interested in it. If you're a junior engineer or a student, please reach out! 🙏
Jeremy and I will be speaking at @kotlinconf.com this year about the KMP work we've been doing in Architecture Components. See you there! #AndroidDev #Kotlin #KMP
Today I could test-ride the new @cowboybike.bsky.social bikes, Cruiser and Cross, for the first time! I had a really nice time with them, although I only rode for a couple of minutes, I could feel the differences when compared to my VanMoof S3. I'm not planning to buy them, but it was fun to try!
Imagine exploding the planet because you're so stupid that fired everyone who was taking care of the biggest bombs ever made. 🙃

I'm finally using Linear for a personal project and it's impressive how much bloated their competitors are, such a simple but elegant tool, which makes project management a breeze. Loving it so far! linear.app

I cancelled my Spotify account this month, I already use YouTube Premium and, YouTube Music, for what I need, is really not that behind, especially on Android.
I finally gave up on the idea of maintaining my own blog hosting and migrated it to @hashnode.bsky.social. it's a bit of a cliché but I've started it with one of the few "ambitions" I have for myself this year: to write more. walmyrcarvalho.com.br/i-want-to-wr... Let's see how it goes!
