Finished a Churchill tank, marked up for the North Irish Horse for the Gothic line battles. By this point the British camo had shifted from the khaki and black to a standard green, so it differs from Shermans. It’s a glorious tank!

Still over a month to go, but my Bolt Action army for Warfare is complete. Set in the last days of the Primosole Bridge battle, units of the London Yeomanry, 50th Infantry Division and 1st Para brigade link up to recapture Primosole. Sadly it had lost its strategic value!
Something a bit different, made a display board out of a picture frame and polyfilla. Designed to help move an army around during a game day, and is colour matches for my Mediterranean basing scene.
After over a year of average videos on YouTube, I’ve finally got round to making a battle report. It’s Gela ‘43 using Bolt Action, I originally put this on as a game at Broadside 2025 and is an example that occasionally Bolt Action can be played with a focus on history! youtu.be/_hhbWV-34Ls?...

A quick return to the Russian Civil War with this Bolshevik Maxim Machine Gun, spread the good word of communism for the medium of bullets!
As I’ve been painting quite a range this year I am starting to forget which colours I have been using. Decided to follow some advice from @battlegames.bsky.social and start a painting journal
The another set of Serjeants/peasants for the 13th century project. Couple of different colours used on this lot to add some variety.
Yesterday I played in my clubs annual Middle Earth big tournament. As someone who enjoys casual historical games, I had a few thoughts to share about my experience! youtu.be/18z4A9DZ27I?...

So after a demo game and a supplement for the Italian Campaign happening at the same time, I’m having a dabble with Flames Of War. Starting off with a Platoon of Free French. Worst comes to worst they can always be used for other rulesets!
Back to the 13th Century with @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social Foot Serjeants. Always nice to not have to worry about accurate colours as much!
Another month(ish) has gone so time for another hobby update! More gaming than painting thanks to the heat. youtu.be/igjjL17a67c?...

Last batch of British Paras done for my army for Warfare, including Sergeant Sawyer himself!
An ironic thing about Trench Crusade is that “World War I where you have to shoot demons” feels less grimdark a setting than the actually existing “World War I where you have to shoot the 19 year-old you played soccer with during the Christmas of 1914.”
Another 8 paratroopers finished! Denison is tricky but rewarding to finish. One more batch and everything for the Warfare tournament will be ready!
Had a demo game of Flames Of War last night, and I was pleasantly surprised. I had two platoons of panzer grenadiers and a unit of StuGs holding out against a Sherman Company and lorried infantry. Nice back and forth to the game and a way to get the 15mm out on a club night.
Something a bit different today - playing the Warlord Judge Dredd game! Both enjoyed it
Looks like Warlord are bringing sprue recycling to their stores and when they are at events, and getting a free sprue for every 10 you recycle warlord-community.warlordgames.com/bring-out-ye...

The Barons War/Medieval project continues with 12 crossbow infantry. Will be seeing use in SAGA, Midgard and more! Figures by @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social
Todays video is all about my passion project - the Russian Civil War. It’s a period that offers a wide range of gaming opportunities! And any excuse to use Empress Miniatures… youtu.be/2ktaJ-Wx4ns?...

With lots of games of Midgard happening at the club, I’ve started basing up some sabot bases so I can fit my SAGA forces into Midgard armies. Quite happy with the effect, and could get another two bases with only a few more figures!
First 6 fallschrimjager off the line. Will be a slow grow platoon with that camo pattern…
I know it’s only a teaser but this is looking good, no full base strips. I’d be interested if this is a way to do a Zulu collection on the cheap!
Test figure for my next Bolt Action/Chain of Command platoon for the Italian Campaign. It’ll be German Fallschrimjager with a lovely complicated uniform. Some of them also wore captured Italian uniforms which are equally as difficult. It’ll be a painting challenge!
While the heat has meant it’s not been as productive as usual, I’ve managed to finish a project, start another and play 4 different rulesets in the last 6 weeks! youtu.be/i4OgJ6BNCYo?...

8 more of the Wargames Atlantic Peasants done to finish of a unit of 12 bowmen. Time to tackle some knights next!
Well one thing led to another. Excited to get stuck in!
Tried out Midgard at the club. My heroic Viking commander cut his Anglo Saxon foe in one round of combat! We won’t talk about him getting speared to death afterwards… Great ruleset and will be picking up a copy!

Club day today and played some Chain of Command. Only our second game but great fun. German probing attack on the outskirts of a US held village. Initially stalled, and the Stummel was knocked out, however a strong right hook and careful use of a handgranaten charge broke the US force morale!
