I said it before, but it’s really fun to discover when someone you know for board games has some other endeavor you had no idea about. Not just a great designer and publisher, @perplext.com also makes ridiculously good popcorn. What other creative endeavours are you all secretly doing?!

My last Gen Con was 2019. Back then (and in each year prior) I’d run into @martinlieser.bsky.social and we’d catch up on life, family (and yeah, games). Brought together by games and this con and once again our paths crossed. Still got his OG @plaidhatgames.bsky.social hat. Those were built to last!
I was thinking about my earlier post on the longevity of Plaid Hat Games, and how each Gen Con brings new designers and new publishers now early on their own journeys towards each new future success. Expecting that for the gang at Chris Couch Games.

A Yard House beer in a glass of obnoxiousness is a Gen Con tradition. Ryan (pictured with baby glass) and I met online through a shared love of board games & magic (thanks to Caleb Wiles for converting him to cardboard). We got to meet in person at Gen Con and played a mess of games. Size Wise is 😍😍

@theop.games booth wasn’t just full of fun games, but the fun people I’ve been fortunate to work with over the years. Was so nice to see you all in person. Next year we’ll have to see if we can cajole Andrew E into coming (IYKYK).
I’d ask what’s in the water over at @paverson.bsky.social, but we know they’re not into water! Looking forward to this title and several others they have on the way (looking at you Class of ‘89). Also nice to see Julian from @boxedmeeples.bsky.social masterfully demoing at the booth.
Gen Con has not been a show I typically play many games at, but this year I was going to make more opportunities to. Before the halls opened on the first day, Adam (from Rolling Solo) and I kicked the gaming off with Circle The Wagons by @buttonshy.bsky.social - a friggin clever game. I lost.
