Special guests will be discussing the recent Supreme Court Case that dismantled the Voting Rights Act. Register here: us02web.zoom.us/.../register...
Today, SCOTUS ruled in Louisiana v. Callais to destroy the VRA's protections against the ”denial or abridgement of the right of any citizen of the United States to vote on account of race." This opens the door again to gerrymandering, drawing districts to deny minority groups representation.
How the anti-voter "SAVE America Act" would affect you. Listen carefully to supporters trying to trick us into making it hard or impossible for millions to register to vote. Jim Crow era legislators used similar arguments to justify literacy tests, poll taxes, and other anti-voter laws.
They have been filibustering the Voter Elimination Act (“SAVE America Act”) for 2 days now. It disenfranchises most married women and others who have changed their names, can’t afford a passport, or don’t have access to a passport or birth certificate.
Results - two great bills from our Voter Power Package passed this week!

Join us for a week of activities! We'll be out spreading the word on renewal and pledging people to vote YES on renewing one of the strongest and most effective investments in our democracy.
Seattle! If you want to keep the Democracy Voucher program going, mark your calendars for the August primary. Let's renew this one-of-a-kind way that Seattle empowers ordinary people to fund candidates of our choice.
This Aug 5, vote YES on Prop 1 to: ✔ Defend democracy when it’s under attack ✔ Keep our local gov accountable to us, not corporate donors and big money ✔ Make sure renters, workers, and everyday ppl have a voice in who reps them ✔ Build a future where $$$ doesn’t decide who gets to run — or win
The SAVE Act passed the US House and is one step closer to upending voter access. Imagine having to go *in-person* with your documents to update your voter registration. It's not the Washington state way. Our Senators need to hear from us: wavotingjustice.org/take-action/
Unconstitutional! 🙌 This executive order is an attempt disenfranchise millions of married women who have changed their maiden names, and millions more who don't have easy access to passports or in-person voting centers. Good on Judge Kollar Kotelly for putting this on hold 👍
