My departmental mentor and leader, who was out on vacation and just got around to seeing my e-mail about not getting this round of the job (much less an interview with Casting), is just as surprised as I was. I'm glad it's not just me.

Despite spending the past seven months meeting with people in the department, shadowing, & preparing to crush interviews. The best I can hope for is that it was an auto-rejection & my mentor can redirect it. But I'm not hopeful.
