July has been hotter than average across all 6 New England states. Rain? We have more rain than average across MA & RI. If Boston ends up with more rain than average, it would be the 1st month since October that we've seen this happen. Good for drought! #mawx #riwx #boston @bostonglobe.com
As cooler, dry air settles over New England, it'll be a great stretch for some open windows at night — nature's A/C, as lows slip into the low 60s for the rest of the week & weekend. #mawx #boston #nhwx #riwx @bostonglobe.com

Wildfire smoke is becoming much more common across Boston & New England. Check out the boom of days with poor air quality from wildfire smoke (PM 2.5). As wildfires spark further east across Canada, Boston sees higher chances of smoke. More smoky days ahead. #mawx #nhwx #riwx @bostonglobe.com
