Happy Chess Broadway Album day, time to listen to the whole thing 5 times and have strong opinions (mostly why is Florence singing Someone Else's Story, seriously)
ps. there's no queuing system on our website for these tix so you can get straight to it. #sketchcomedy sohotheatre.com/events/simpl...

Fresh from a sold-out, critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe, New York sketch troupe Simple Town is coming back across the pond.

The glorious minds behind Simple Town chatted to The Guardian this week - oh oooh it's a good read. “We really believe in it… the work we’ve done together is the best work any of us has done.” You truly 'can’t keep a good sketch troupe down.' Check it out 👇 www.theguardian.com/stage/2026/m...
‘Four teens in their 30s!’ Lovable New York comedy gang Simple Town land in London
They wowed the Edinburgh fringe with whip-smart sketches about Nasa engineers and what their audience were thinking. Now the slacker troupe are back on stage – but a long way from TV screens

Greys Anatomy really winding me up with their empty coffee cup nonsense in the latest episode. Even the sound as they put them down, not just the waving them around wildly. Just pop a bit of water in them please I'm begging you.
Just heard an AI ethicist talk about how important it is that we say ‘MEN are using Grok to undress images of babies, children and women’ not ‘Grok is….’. Grok isn’t responsible for the action, the men enabling & using it for this repulsive purpose are. Small but important bit of linguistic accuracy
How have I ONLY JUST seen that Aaron Tviet is in the Broadway Chess???? I don't care about Lea Michelle as Florence
New Christmas rehearsals venue for me, hello Exeter I'm excited to find out how your festive season feels.
Something really satisfying about changing my own headlight bulbs in the Halfords car park, 2 bays over from a Halfords colleague fitting someone else's. He didn't realise I was racing him. I won.
Me after a rough day at work closing 16 tabs that are all variations of "reconfigure router" "changing IP addresses" "setting up networks for idiots"
About to spend the whole autumn touring and whilst excited for the new projects, slightly sad that I might miss out on my favourite season by being inside in the dark all the time 😂

Browsing the Fringe brochure and playing my favourite game of: Is this site specific listing actually site specific or is it just: A) outdoors B) in a church C) not in a traditional theatre D) underground (All of which are cool, just not necessarily site specific)
The sheer number of times I have applied/interviewed for a role and had to assume I haven't got it when the start date of the project passes. Even worse I've had companies approach me asking for CV & A/V and then never hear despite promising to reply within a week.

Hey pals, take care and drink lots of water even if the temperature is "going down". Heatstroke sucks

Finishing school shows at lunchtime means a little wander around the village for me, complete with extraordinary vanilla milkshake. Brighstone is beautiful.
It’s just under two weeks until we kick off our Spring tour with four shows at The Egg Theatre, Bath with Sunday’s 11:30am show being a relaxed performance 🙌🏽 We cannot wait to be back on the road 🛒💚 Ticket link here: www.theatreroyal.org.uk/events/stori... @artscouncilengland.bsky.social
I haven't been working for the past 2 weeks and it has allowed me some gorgeous restful moments which were well needed. This was the highlight of yesterday.
Shout out to my 2 favourite companies: Black+Blum and Sennheiser, for making products to be long lasting & letting you buy replacement bits rather than having to buy the item all over again. Also they're really high quality & work super well for a busy Stage Manager. I am not sponsored (wish I was).
Had a great time at Hat Factory Arts in Luton with The Little Prince. Our first new venue and it was fab. Lovely audiences, and convenientally a plane workshop before hand!
Shut my finger in a door during yesterday's get outs. We don't have enough frozen peas in the house to cover this rate of injuries 😭
Back at the Egg with The Little Prince before we head off to Luton & Cambridge. It's a real treat to get to do this show again, it's magical every time.
Tours are fun but nothing beats sleeping in your own bed!
When you have a fight with a flight case in a get out and the flight case wins... (I am fine)
