My answer to the @MuckRack Daily trivia question: Ft. Ross was established in what is at present CA's Sonoma County, and today its multi-ethnic nature would have it atop the list of towns to terrorize. They're eating the cats! They're eating the dogs! Rootless cosmopolitans!

The first screenshot shows conditions here in Honolulu at 6pm, the second one conditions in Lihue on Kauai, which along with Ni'ihau is set to get clobbered overnight and into Tuesday. Humidity here has gone up about 3 points the past hour, and the winds are shifting.

A whistleblower says USPS has been violating court orders for months in pursuit of a program that could disenfranchise tens of millions of people and the NY Times places it way down the page in favor of the bond market's upset tummy. Money talks, a plot to kill democracy walks.

A screen grab of the New York Times website shows a story about the regime's plot to screw up mail-in balloting for tens of millions of people placed way down the page with the three of the top five stories placed above it focused on money issues.

My answer to the @MuckRack Daily trivia question: "Sinkin' in the Bathtub" was the first Looney Tunes short. Looney Tunes was the ultimately successful Warner Bros challenge to Disney's Silly Symphonies. Also a predictor of the modern political era, although not so much as The Simpsons.

My answer to the @MuckRack Daily trivia question: Svante Arrhenius was the first to tie fossil fuel combustion to atmospheric warming but he built on a lot of other people's work. There's a follow-on to his theories in a 1912 story in Popular Mechanics about the impact of burning coal on the climate

My answer to the @MuckRack Daily trivia question: The tiny leaf sheep won The Guardian's Invertebrate of the Year competition but only because the entire US federal legislature members were arbitrarily and unfairly disqualified.

Not enough people are asking why, after years of disputing figures released by Gaza's health ministry, the Israelis now accept the ministry's confirmed death toll from the genocide. The obvious answer is that they know the actual death toll is far, far higher than what has been directly confirmed.

My answer to the @MuckRack Daily trivia question: Mercury and Venus don't have moons so they can't have solar eclipses, yet they're considered full-fledged planets while Pluto, which has five moons, isn't. It's political correctness gone mad.

My answer to the @MuckRack Daily trivia question: Death Valley is the site of the highest air temperature ever recorded, at 130-plus degrees fahrenheit. Been there! Done that! Although it was only in the high 100-and-teens when I was there.

My answer to the @MuckRack Daily trivia question: AMAZING FANTASY #15. Now approaching retirement age in an era when all the worst crooks have Secret Service protection, a disillusioned Spiderman spends his days drinking down at the American Legion hall.

My answer to the @MuckRack Daily trivia question: All I know about Ariana Grande is that she licked donuts, put them back and then shaded donut lovers—both gross but many of us grew up when cameras weighed a ton and weren't surreptitious so the gross teen stuff we did wasn't immortalized.

My answer to the @MuckRack Daily trivia question: I'm probably late with this but I actually knew it: The entertainment at the 1966 New York Society for Clinical Psychiatry dinner was, absolutely hilariously, Velvet Underground.
