Does anyone know anything about this? It says its "Apple iPort", "Designed by HWTE in Shanghai", featuring a Micro USB port, 2 USB-C ports, and a 4.2" Eink screen. It doesn't function properly as a USB-C cable tester between its 2 ports, and I have no other idea on how to use it.

Have you ever heard about a type of screen called the *liquid powder display*? I didn't until I saw one of those on sale: (Item title says: Brand new Japan imported screen with original packaging and tray, new old stock, no datasheet available, price is 2 CNY each, or about 0.3 USD)

Finally wrote my own clone of the Image2Lcd. It's a software for preparing/ converting for use on embedded displays (like small 12864 LCD panels or Eink panels and such). I added a bunch of features missing from the original Image2Lcd such as dithering, bulk processing, and text/ font conversion

After a little over 2.5 years, today is my last day at Zero ASIC corporation as a digital IC designer. It has been a rewarding and fun journey. It is my pleasure to work with and learn from my wonderful coworkers. Starting from next year, I will be working on my personal projects full time!

Hello bsky, anyone want these? Moving out so I need to get rid of them soon. A bunch of vintage computers, RISC workstations and such, for free! Local pick up in Quincy Massachusetts only. Let me know if you are interested! Also if you know someone who might be interested, let them know!

I am just going to start randomly post photos shot with my Sitina camera here. I am not sure if I want to start sharing them on another platform (like... instagram?) or not. But for now, bluesky feels like home. These are shot with Sitina r0.12-B at North Quincy St/ Aquarium St/ Long Wharf in Boston

Some of the photos I took at the display exhibition during the Hackaday Supercon 8 last weekend. Taken with the r0.12 version of my Sitina 1 camera and Zhongyi 50mm f/0.95 lens. (1/2)

Let me re-introduce you to the project I am actively working on: the Sitina 1, an open-source full-frame mirrorless camera! I have made a short thread on this more than a year ago, but that was incomplete and also outdated. Given there have been lot of new people coming, I decide to write a new one.

Bought a prison laptop on eBay. Thought it should be just some generic laptop with a clear shell, turns out it's actually a bit more than that.

Bought a few NOS 8 inch reflective TFT LCDs. They were originally used on the Asus Eee Note EA800. It looks great and has a relatively high reflectance. Kindle (with Eink screen) for comparison. Note this is not memory LCD, and it consumes significantly more power (at ~100mW)

2 reflective LCDs, one hooked up and playing video, another brand new still with protective film
